Clients can expect to learn information that they have not heard before. Many traditional baseball coaching cues are actually detrimental to player development.
A normal lesson includes specific instruction based on the movements of the best players in the world.
Once the movements are correct, players will hit live batting practice with feedback when necessary.
Various drills will be done to correct bat path and swing alignment.
I teach proven techniques such as barrel turn, match plane and stretch and fire.
Along with swing adjustments, I do my best to maintain a positive environment where players can enjoy their baseball lesson. I aim to nurture a love for the game.
My son has worked with Sean for several years consistently. Sean spends countless hours studying, understanding and perfecting the swing. He bases his approach on the highest level hitters in history. He applies his knowledge to his own swing so that he's capable of instructing others. He provides appropriate drills and techniques with children to help them incorporate sound fundamentals into their own natural approach. He'll teach you how to "tip to whip" and how to balance hips so that your body is positioned to draw the greatest power from the ground up, pulling maximum energy into the ball. It's been a pleasure to work with Sean. He's really passionate and he really gets it.

I played NCAA Div I baseball and many of my teammates went on to play professional baseball. When my son has always been a big hitter but when he got to the age where he played on fields that were the same size as college and professional ballparks, his approach at the plate needed to change. Size and strength were not enough. Coach Sean teaches my son the same techniques the best hitters in history use. By age 15, my son was hitting home runs consistently 370+ feet. He has the highest batting average on his high school team and is the power hitter coaches in college and the pros look for with an exit velocity of 96+ mph. I have been to other private baseball trainers and Sean by far has exceeded my expectations. My son has been seeing Sean for almost a year. Sean approached bat motion and generating power in a way that’s been critical for his development as a hitter. The other great thing about Sean is that he is always adjusting drills and approaches to find what works best for his hitters. Sean Plouffe is the consummate student of the baseball swing. From the early greats to today's superstars, Sean has an eye for what makes them successful hitters. He applies those techniques and his own knowledge of the game to the teaching process. My 11 year old son plays travel baseball and under Sean he has gone from being an average hitter to a really good hitter who has led his team in several hitting categories over the past few seasons. Sean’s coaching resulted in my son’s first home run this season. My son really looks forward to the lessons and then tries to execute what he’s learned at practice and in the games, so I know the information is sinking in.
